Source & Sketch
Every collection starts with locally sourced materials — clay from North Carolina potteries, linen from small mills, plant wax from regional farms. I sketch each design by hand before touching the wheel.
This is a fictional demo site built as a preview by Modern Stack Studio.
Honey & Thread started in 2018 during a cross-country road trip. I was collecting clays and fibers from every town I passed through, and by the time I got home to Asheville, I had a van full of raw materials and a head full of ideas. What began as weekend market stalls became an Etsy shop, then a proper studio behind my house. Today every piece is still made by hand, one at a time — no outsourcing, no mass production. I believe slow craft makes better objects and a better life.

Ceramics are thrown on a kick wheel, trimmed, bisque-fired, glazed, and fired again at cone 6. Each piece takes 7 to 10 days from wedging to finished product.
Textiles are cut, hemmed, and dipped in walnut or indigo baths. Every napkin and runner is pre-washed so it arrives soft and ready to use.
Orders are wrapped in recycled kraft paper, packed with compostable peanuts, and shipped within two business days. No plastic, ever.
